My name is Maggie Mae (honest) and up until a few years ago, I couldn't tell you where the on/off switch on a computer was. I was a true phobic. A window was something in the wall that opened and a mouse was a pesky creature that I set traps for. I finally decided it was high time I got with the nineties and became computer literate. I immediately became hooked on almost all aspects of computing. I am a trainer by profession and my goal is to answer your computer and internet questions in a very clear, easy to understand, non technical manner. Go ahead, ask me. My areas of expertise are the internet and surfing ( I know some great sites), windows 95/98, MS publisher, and basic working knowledge of IBM compatible PC's. |

I'm currently enrolled at Samuel Whitbread community college, and I am in my first year of GCSE's. I am taking English, Maths, Double science, Systems and control, Business studies, French, German, and core RS and PE. My interests at the moment are any operating systems (apart from Macintosh), VB programmming and I'm trying to get into c++. I'm quite good on the computer and can type 60-70 wpm (on a good day!) I am playing with Red hat Linux at the moment and have practically mastered Windows 9x and NT. I can find my way around the internet and know a few security procedures. |
